The San Francisco Sidewalk Astronomers again made their appearance. In keeping with the times, they were painted up their telescopes in 'Flower Power' colors with large astronomical symbols on the side of the tubes. I am sure that the conservative amateur astronomy crowd was befuddled by this new development.

Speakers:

  • John Dobson, "Grinding Large Off-axis Paraboloidal Mirrors"
  • Raymond G. Coutchie, "Marriage and Astrophotography"
  • John Laborde, "Construction of a Mirror Grinding Machine"
  • Arthur DeVany, "Using a Double-wire Test and Laser Interferometer in Figuing Optical Elements"
  • Maurcie V. King, "Using Groved Tools to Give a High Quailty Finish"
  • George Carroll, "Using a Birefringent Filter to Observe the Sun"
