This was a pivotal year for the Riverside Telescope Makers Conference as it moved out from the city lights to the nearby San Jacinto Mountains. The RTMC set up in Camp Isomata, the USC Music and Craft Conference Center in Idyllwild. This was a nice venue as it offered many nice facilities and a large field to set the telescopes up on.

Forty-two telescopes were brought to observe in the dark skies of the San Jacinto Mountains.
