We have reserved a set of rooms for large and small presentations. So far we have commitments from:

  • Apollo Astronaut Rusty Schweickart (Saturday mid-day),
  • Observer Stephen O'Meara (Sunday afternoon),
  • The Planetary Society's Bruce Betts,
  • ALPO's Mike Reynolds,
  • AAVSO's Arne Henden,
  • Sky and Tel's Sean Walker, and
  • Artist/Imager Wally Pacholka.

More will be added in the coming months.

Our detailed schedule is not yet available.

Although we are not looking for main hall presenters, if you would like to make a presentation, or your astro group or astronomical point of interest would like to schedule an additional meeting or event surrounding PATS, please contact Alex McConahay (clubs@rtmcastronomyexpo.org  ). Note that we are still open to product demonstrations from interested vendors.

In addition to the formal PATS program, two other events are surrounding PATS.

  • The Riverside Astroimaging Workshop will take place on Friday, September 25, and requires a separate registration. Registration information is not yet available. That program will feature three strands: Affordable Astro-Imaging (for those just getting started), Advanced AstroImaging ( for those who want to push the limits), and MacAstronomy (for those who use the Mac in their astronomy and astroimaging).

  • In the weeks preceding PATS, Paseo Colorado, the beautiful shopping mall immediately north of the exhibit hall, will have a public display of "The World At Night." This display of great images featuring celestial objects and earthly landscapes, is not to be missed. They are seeking "sidewalk astronomers" to outreach to the public during this event. Please contact Alex McConahay clubs@rtmcastronomyexpo.org to help in this effort.

In addition, we will have solar telescopes on display outside the exhibition hall.

Although none are finalized on the schedule yet, a few of the vendors have expressed an interest in product demonstrations in a more formal setting than their booths. We will set aside meeting rooms and schedule such events. If your astro group or astronomical point of interest would like to schedule an additional event surrounding PATS, please contact Alex McConahay (clubs@rtmcastronomyexpo.org  )
